At New Valley, we know that reading is an open door to expanding the world for children, and the key to all other learning opportunities. We also understand the crucial role of phonics in enabling children to start becoming fluent, confident, enthusiastic readers.
After many successful years of using the Read Write Inc phonics scheme, in 2022 we have decided to switch to Little Wandle Letters & Sounds Revised: this scheme will ensure the consistency which gives every child the best chance of mastering phonics to enable them to read and spell as they move through school.
