New Valley Attainment and Progress 2024-25

Towards the end of each school year, children in Year 6 at primary schools throughout the country are assessed on their attainment in the core areas of reading, writing and mathematics.  Children take three SATs (standard assessment tests: reading; maths; grammar, punctuation & spelling.  They are assessed by their teachers in writing.

Proportions of children achieving the expected standard or better in Y6 in 2025:

     Reading  72%  (national average 75%)

     Writing  64% (national average 72%)

     Mathematics  88% (national average 74%)

     Grammar, punctuation & spelling  88% (national average 73%)

     Reading, writing & mathematics combined  56%  (national average 56%)
